                                             5 Money Questions for Women

At Edward Jones, we focus on serving the finanacial needs of individual investors of all ages and financial means.  We have built our business by treating our clients as we would want to be treated - a simple concept that still works today.

In 2017, I joined Edwards Jones as a financial advisor, after having been a client for more than 19 years.  I was impressed by the service and professionalism I received and wanted to be a part of this firm.

My background was in the medical field, where I worked as an operating room nurse for 15 years and then as a medical device sales representative.  I attended Johnson County Community College and graduated in 1988 from their nursing program with an associate of science degree.  I hold the Series 7 and Series 66 certifications for my securities licensing.  I am AAMS certified.  I am also an LLC partner for Bashaw Family Farm located in Hartford, KS.

My branch office administrator, Christie Kennard, and I are dedicated to providing you with the highest level of service possible.  It’s one of the pillars that we strongly believe in.  The others are education, passion and respect.  Relationships are key as well, and in our view, meeting face to face builds strong relationships.  We want to understand what’s most important and meet when its convenient for our clients because we recognize the challenging needs of their busy lives.   It truly is all about our clients!

I would like to help provide the answers to your questions so you can make informed, financially sound decisions.  A big part of that is education my clients-something that I believe strongly in.

FAQs

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes, if you can't attend you may send someone in your place.  We are not able to transfer your ticket forward to

the next month.  Our lunch fees are designed to cover costs, not make money.  When add or remove attendees

at the last minute it impacts how much we are charged as well as our ability to start the meeting on time.

Thank you for your understanding.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

It's helpful, but not required.

What is the refund policy?

If you are unable to attend, please send someone in your place.  It's a great way to share the gift of the ABWA

with another.  If you are not able to send someone in your place, please consider it a donation to the KC

Express Network's professional development offerings.  (We do not issue refunds.)

Why can't I make a reservation after 12:00 Midnight the Tuesday before the event?

We turn the ticket sales off promptly at 12 Midnight the TUESDAY before the event so that we are respectful of Hallbrook's catering team

and to those who have registered on time for the event.  If you do not yet have a reservation, please email the

organizer immediately to see if there is space.  Note, there is an additional $5 charge for those without reservations

made after 12:00 Midnight the Tuesday before the event when space permits.  We love guests and growing our membership.  If you've missed this month's meeting, please register now for next month and invite a friend.  Thank you!

Our Mission

The mission of the American Business Women’s Association is to bring together business women of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition.

About Us

The American Business Women's Association is a prestigious, national organization established for working women and women business owners.

It is a community where women can be part of a national organization with a local connection, come together to gain career development and pursue business opportunities while being influenced and mentored by like-minded women who really care.

Come meet and network with interesting women just like you…
Meet Kansas City professionals
representing a wide range of occupations and entrepreneurial endeavors in this small business networking group.

Come hear great speakers on a vast number of subjects, including networking, financial planning, women’s health issues, and so much more.

Come have FUN in Overland Park, Kansas with us! We are serious about our education, networking and food, but we do have lots of fun, too! We usually have at least 2 socials a year where we can really let our hair down and get acquainted.
