On Sunday, December 7 from 5 to 7pm, renowned composer Andrea Clearfield and local choreographer Alya Howe will bring together some remarkable talents for a special evening of artistic exploration at The December Salon at Justice Snow’s. Dr. Clearfield and Ms. Howe have curated a program of dynamic performances including music, art and spoken word in the intimate and historic setting of Justice Snow’s Restaurant + Bar in downtown Aspen.
- Prelude: Andrea Clearfield will perform a Salon-style piano solo by Frédéric Chopin joined by dancers Alya Howe and Deborah Colley
- Nikki Boxer performs vocal jazz selections with David Dyer, pianist
- Sharon Glassman, with musician Paul Kiteck, reads from her novel-with-songs, BLAME IT ON HOBOKEN
- Suzi Q. Smith presents her acclaimed slam poetry and spoken word works
- Shere Coleman performs puppetry vignettes, ancient to contemporary musings
- Melanie Manos will present video shorts and perform an abbreviated version of her spoken-word and dance piece, "Salad!"
- Suzi Q. Smith closes with Spoken Word
Ticket price includes one glass of wine and passed hors d'oeuvres.
