About this event
Dear Nora's sound encompasses a spectrum of styles including classic rock, experimental music, ethereal pop, new age, folk, punk, and R&B. Katy Davidson (pronouns: they/she) writes lyrics with layered meanings that contemplate the vast realms and intersections of wilderness, humanity, morality, technology, late capitalism, and love.
Omeed Goodarzi’s music is well described by the Post Trash review of their most recent album Pickled Dawn. “Looming heavily on the horizon (as is relative to these modern times), one need only reflect on themselves before entering. Forests, flora, fauna, songs of rock and stone, oceanic wonder - humans. A place where mother earth and father time meet to discuss the finite/ infinite, and our expanded existences; this is where we are residing.” Psych folk and avant-garde, you won’t be disappointed.
Holy Taker is a project still forming. In recordings, it exists as densely layered ambient and doom influenced hymns. In a live setting, it’ll be lighter, devoted to cycles and fragments of songs born from looping soundscapes. There will be hand drawn visuals, mistakes, and catharsis.
