A Four Part Speaker Series: Dealing with Mid Life Transitions

Preparing and Responding to Life Changes in a Healthy Way

In midlife we are inevitably going through many significant life changes

You may be experiencing one or more of the following:

- trying to age 'gracefully' and on our own terms

- working towards creating new and active routines

- coping with stress

- job/career changes and/or retirement

- menopause

- divorce and relationship breakdown

- caring for/coping with aging parents

- loss

- weight gain/body image

- wanting to get out of your comfort zone

Preparing for and navigating these and other changes in a healthy and proactive way is key to continuing to live our best life at any age.

And successfully meeting these challenges will give us the ability to grow and improve as we go through our own personal journeys in our 40s, 50s and beyond.

Guest Speaker: Jennifer Gaudette is the founder of Upspring Wellness. Her mission is to open up sustainable ways of working and living by connecting mind and body. Jenn is a certified Health Coach with the Health Coach Institute (CHC, ICF accredited). She is also a Yoga Instructor (RYT) with Yoga Therapy Toronto, a Nutrition and Wellness Specialist (NWS) and Personal Training Specialist (PTS) through Canfitpro. To stay fit, Jenn runs, lifts weights and practices yoga.

'Sometimes we choose change and sometimes it chooses us. Transitions are a fact of life. As our bodies and minds evolve over time, it is important to check-in and take stock of how we are different physically, emotionally and in our vision over time. The healthy or unhealthy behaviours that we practice this decade set us up for our experience and quality of life in our next decade. This workshop is designed to equip you with a proactive approach to deal with transistion


1. Why sign up for all 4 sessions of this workshop series?
Each workshop will build on the previous. At the beginning of the series, we'll set goals based on the area of life where the most change is occurring for each individual. There will be opportunities to receive support and accountability from the group week to week. Though each week with explore a theme or specific area, each session will move you closer to your personal healthy change goal.

2. What is the benefit of signing up with a friend?
If you sign up for 2 people, you will each receive $5 off a future Fab@50 event. Also there will be opportunities to work together during the workshop and potentially be support and accountability to one another in between workshops.

3. Should I attend the workshop if the theme does not appear relevant to my life, right now?
Yes! We will be trying out some tools and strategies for rolling through change in a variety of circumstances that can be widely applied to foreseen and unforeseen events
