Description

A British Sign Language evening workshop on HIV testing and PrEP.


Aim: to raise awareness of HIV testing and PrEP primarily amongst LGBTIQA people who are Deaf and use British Sign Language.

The event is supported and hosted as a partnership between

The workshop will include a video, a Deaf guest speaker who is HIV positive, a professional expert on HIV and PrEP and BSL interpreters. One of the facilitators is also Deaf.

Date: 25 April, Thursday evening, 6-8.30pm


Evaluation from this workshop will be used to review viability of repeating this workshop in other parts of the UK to provide access for more Deaf people.
