GAME:

A horrible Zombie virus has hit Provincetown. The U.S. Department of Zombie Virus Outbreak Containment (ZVOC) has been working to combat this terrifying plague. They have successfully defined the infected areas, called the DeadZone, where the zombie infection is concentrated...and they need your help.

ZVOC has set up Data Collection Sites hidden throughout each DeadZone that detect and store important information about the hazardous virus. ZVOC needs a team of fearless citizens to safely navigate through the DeadZone, locate these sites, and download the data from each one...before time runs out. You and your team have 90 minutes to solve the puzzles and collect the data. Race against other teams of scavengers to find the cure, while staying clear of the zombie infection.

Explore Provincetown as you never have before in this race to cure humanity from the Zombie Apocalypse. Will your team survive the outbreak? Recruit your friends and join us for our 90-minute Escape Game Adventure!!

IMPORTANT:

All participants must sign a liability waiver upon arrival. You cannot play without signing one. Children under the age of 18 need a parent or guardian's signature. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult during the game. LIABILITY WAIVER (PDF)

FAQS

Q: I am not sure I understand what kind of game this is?

A: It's an Escape Game, a Scavenger Hunt, and an interactive Zombie "tag" all-in-one.

Q: What’s the DeadZone?

A: The DeadZone is the area of game play where all the checkpoints are located. When you arrive for registration of the game the ZVOC leader will define the area for you.

Q: What’s the age range for this game?

A: The game is for adults and kids starting age 12. The puzzles are geared toward ages 12 and up. We don’t recommend this game for children younger than 12 unless accompanied by an adult.

Q: Is the game very physical?

A: You will be required to use your mind and your body. There is a lot of walking so please wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to be moving the entire 90 minutes.

Q: What is the LED proximity based technology and how does it work?

A: Each player will have a wearable "badge" given to them upon registration. This device will show the players current "health" status: Healthy / Infected / Zombie / or Immune. As you progress through the game, you must avoid infectious hazards while solving all of the puzzles hidden through the DeadZone. If you come in contact with a hazard, you will be infected, and must locate a "checkpoint" within an allotted amount of time to be healed before you fully turn into an infection spreading zombie. Once you have found all of the checkpoints, and while still alive, collected all the data for the “cure”, you will finish the game and achieve the ability to be "immune" and help other players.

Q: How do we find the checkpoints you keep talking about?

A: The checkpoints are all in hidden locations throughout the DeadZone. You mission is to solve the puzzles which will reveal where the checkpoints are. Once you have found enough checkpoints required for the cure head back to headquarters to save humanity.

Q: If I get infected does that mean someone is going to touch me.

A: The technology is proximity based set for a 3-foot radius. That means if you come within 3 feet of anything that has been infected by the zombie virus you will catch it. That includes all zombie hazards. This is a NO CONTACT experience that we enforce as such. You will be ejected from the game if you tamper with any hazards or touch any game players.

Q: Is this for single players or groups?

A: The fun of this game is twofold, competing against other groups and staying “alive” to finish the game. You can buy a single ticket but forming a group is recommended and ultimately more fun. This Escape Game is designed for team building/bonding. We want you to have fun with your friends/family/co-workers while achieving a unified goal. You should try to limit your team to a maximum of 8 people. If you have put a team together please arrive together for registration.

Q: How do you or your team win the game?

A: The first individual person or team to solve the puzzles, collect the data and return to headquarters first will win a big prize. Prizes will vary from week to week depending on the sponsors for each week.
