Deadlifts for Diabetes Charity Event
Help us reach our goal of $500!

Enjoy a challenge and charity with us, Deadlift for Diabetes. Our goal is to reach $500 for the American Diabetes Association.

There is no fee to participate in our special event, however we ask you to consider donating money to the American Diabetes Association.

You do not have to donate to participate but it is highly recommended to donate at least $10 to help us reach our goal of $500!
Plus, no need to participate to donate!

*Non-members interested in competing will pay a day pass fee on February 10th or any other day of use at Five Points.

Our event will be structured similarly to a powerlifting meet in that you will get 3 attempts to deadlift as much weight as possible. Five Points will provide volunteer judges to keep everything standardized. For the deadlift, there is only one command and that is the down command from the head judge after the lifter has locked out.
Rules:
1) Knees must be locked out and the shoulders back at the top of the lift for the lift to count.
2) Only 2 out of the 3 judges have to agree for the lift to count.
3) You cannot drop the weight from the top.
4) You can't support the weight on your thighs to inch the weight up and the bar cannot start to drop at any point in the lift BEFORE being given the down command from the head judge.
