De-Escalating Problem Behavior

Despite proactive planning, some students with autism may become unexpectedly distressed and have intensive outbursts that, if not handled carefully, can escalate into crisis situations. This training will offer strategies to prevent and de-escalate "meltdowns" that are detrimental to the student with autism and distress peers and staff. This training is intended for teachers, counselors and other individuals who work with individuals with autism in group settings.
