Labyrinth of the Gods
A new, original, epic adventure from Dutch Potato! Teams will compete, players will die, rewards will be bountiful and the glory will be magnificent!
So what's it all about then?
Every 100 years, a great competition is held to determine who throughout the land of Faerun holds the favour of the gods and is considered the greatest in the eyes of the people. The time is upon us once again, but this time, it's different. The gods have chosen to bestow honour on a group, not an individual.
And to test these groups of adventurers, an enormous labyrinth in a pocket universe has been created. Teams will be established and will start at one of many entrances to the labyrinth. And at the end of a single day, victors will emerge.
How does it work?
This event will be team based and is a competition. Points will be awarded for achieving certain objectives, killing NPCs, monsters and other players. You can either have a pre-made team, or you will be allocated to a team before the day. The maximum number of players per team is 5.
The campaign takes place in a pocket universe where magic (all kinds) works normally, though there may be some unexpected environmental effects if the rules of the gods attempt to be broken.
The event will be split into two sessions of the same game - 9am to 12pm, and 1pm to 4pm.
The break in the middle of the two sessions constitutes a 'long rest'.
It is unlikely that a team will encounter another team in the morning session, but in the afternoon, no holds barred. Go for gold and for glory!
Characters can be pre-made but only using the standard races and classes within the 5th Edition Players Handbook. Sorry, no homebrew due to the complexity of the campaign. Starting level of all characters will be 8th.
Each team will start as a group at a different entrance to the labyrinth. No team will begin anywhere near any other team.
All rules and objectives will be explained on the day before the event starts.
And what do I bring with me on the day?
Feel free to bring along your dice and other playing materials, but if you don't own any, everything will be supplied on the day so you can just sit down and play. Plus, we will have products (including dice) on the day that you can purchase for your own.
If you want to roll your own character, make it level 8 using standard rules out of the 5th Edition Player's Handbook. NO HOMEBREW CLASSES OR RACES. If you don't have a character or are new to all of this, not to worry, we will help you get started on the day with pre-rolled characters ready to go!
