Event description

Description

The College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES) at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) is proud to announce a new partnership with the University of Maryland Extension (UME) and Future Harvest CASA's Beginner Farmer Training Program. In a 10-part workshop series, we will explore what it takes to be successful on a small-scale farm.

This series will be broadcasted by Future Harvest CASA and UME via a live web stream, with introductions from local farmers and regional experts. Each session will provide a chance for participants to connect with and learn from each other. The series provides a solid introduction to small farm fundamentals: marketing, financial
planning, pest management, managing small farm equipment, and more.
