Event description

Description

The District of Columbia Office of Public-Private Partnerships("DC OP3"), in coordination with the District Department of Transportation ("DDOT") and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer ("OCTO"), will host a public hearing for the Smart Lighting Project. The proposed project will modernize more than 75,000 streetlights by converting them to LED technology with remote monitoring and control capabilities and deploy Smart City technology, including expansion of the District broadband Wi-Fi network. Join District government representatives to learn more about the project and engage in a discussion on innovative technologies and solutions, District government plans to deliver for residents and visitors.

The hearing will be held in a town hall style format with information presented by government representatives and an opportunity for residents to have conversations and share their feedback. Those interested in participating should register. If you cannot attend one of the public forums, please send written comments to StreetlightP3@dc.gov.
