Event description

Description

Known as the “land of wine” and fondly recognized by millions as “the country that looks like a boot” is Italy; a country that is divided into 20 different regions, containing over 2,000 different grape varietals. Each region contributes to creating diverse styles and varieties of wine. Being a peninsula, the coasts offers a moderate climate ideal from growing vines but having numerous mountain ranges also allowed for multiple climates and soils allowing a significant amount of grape varietals to thrive. Italy is actually home to the famed Mascato, Chianti, and Amarone wines. And speaking of famed, Tuscany produces a line of wines called “Super Tuscan”, a term coined back in the 1980’s, meaning that these wines use grapes that are not indigenous to Italy. Over-all, Italy is a place that can’t be missed when on your person wine journey! This event is aimed to host a select gathering of like-minded wine and food lovers who are eager to share wine, stories, laughter, and friendship. We welcome you whether you are an entry level wine drinker or a well-traveled wine connoisseur. The 6 to 8 wines we will sample are carefully hand selected by our premier wine buying team. Along with the wines showcased for the evening we will also provide light snacks for your pleasure. Please, consider joining us in the midst of a busy week to unwind and take a break from the routines of your normal day to sample some amazing wines while listening to an incredibly well informed speaker about regions and varietals you may not yet have visited or tasted.
