CapitalBop presents Tarbaby: Orrin Evans, Nasheet Waits & Eric Revis
with Kris Funn & Corner Store – live at the Fridge
For the second of its three shows in the D.C. Jazz Loft Series at the DC Jazz Festival, CapitalBop presents Tarbaby – a jazz supergroup on a mission. Featuring pianist Orrin Evans, bassist Eric Revis and drummer Nasheet Waits, this band is uncompromisingly experimental and valiantly outspoken. Tarbaby will perform at the Fridge, a back-alley art gallery on Capitol Hill. The trio is double-billing with one of D.C.'s greatest bassists, Kris Funn, a member of the famous Christian Scott Quintet. All ages are welcome. The series is sponsored by Hipnotic Records, and sponsored in part by GNT LLC.
