Event Details

Join the DC Jazz Festival in partnership with the Cultural Services of the Embassy of France as we celebrate the start of the 2016 DC JazzFest. Enjoy an exceptional musical collaboration by Laurent Coq and Walter Smith III presenting The Lafayette Suite. This event is part of the 2016 Charles Fishman Embassy Series.

New Embassy Security Rules: All attendees must be registered for this event and have a Goverment issued photo ID in order to enter the Embassy. Tickets are nontransferable. Please provide the name of each guest when you purchase your tickets and update the DC Jazz Festival of any changes no later than 48 hours prior to the event.

 

Parking: Parking is available on Reservoir Road and across the street at Georgetown University Hospital's pay lot. No cars are allowed within the Embassy.

 

Lyft  Need a ride? Sign up for Lyft in June with the code DCJAZZ to receive a free first ride up to $20, and Lyft will donate $10 to the DC Jazz Festival. Lyft is the exclusive rideshare partner of the DC Jazz Festival.

Invitations are nontransferable, and seating in limited. Please keep us informed of any changes to your event registration. No guests may be admitted without a reservation and proper ID.

 

The Lafayette Suite concert and Meet the Artist are made possible by The Abramson Family Foundation, CrossCurrents Foundation, and the French-American Jazz Exchange Regional Tours program of Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation with support from the National Endowment for the Arts. DC Jazz Festival

Since 2005, the DC Jazz Festival (DCJF) organization has provided enriching and entertaining jazz performances and programs that introduce students and adults from all walks of life to jazz, our nation’s singular original art form. DCJF presents a selection of the jazz genre’s most acclaimed artists as well as emerging artists, and provides enhanced exposure for the rich treasure trove of musicians from the Washington, DC area. Throughout the year, the DCJF nourishes the community with free educational programs that extend our reach into underserved communities and enhance the quality of life for DC public and charter school students.
