Event description

Description

If the beautiful, blush colored wine doesn't appeal to the eye then it certainly will when you have a sip! Rosé wine has soared in popularity, especially during the warmer seasons of the years. Chill it in some ice and you have for yourself a refreshing beverage on a hot summer's day! Rosé wine is typically made from these grape varietals: Pinot Noir, Syrah, Malbec, Merlot, Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Zinfandel, and Grenache. Most of these grape varietals we associate with wines that are powerful, bold, and rich in color. So how can these make a rosé wine? Wine juice is inherently clear. It is the skins of the grapes that actually give color to wines as they both ferment together. When making rosé wine, the juice is fermented with the grape skins for a very limited time. Just enough time to give the wine that lovely pink color. Rosé also has a much milder flavor than reds. It can be dry or sweet but the prominent flavors remain the same; strawberry, melon, celery, rose petals, cherry, and orange peels. The beauty of rosé, besides its coloring, is that rosé wine is very food friendly. It can be paired with anything from seafood to a picnic serving barbecue and egg salad!

What to Expect:

This event is aimed to host a select gathering of like-minded wine and food lovers who are eager to share wine, stories, laughter, and friendship. We welcome you whether you are an entry-level wine drinker or a well-traveled wine connoisseur. The 6 to 8 wines we will sample are carefully hand selected by our premier wine buying team. Please, consider joining us in the midst of a busy week to unwind and take a break from the routines of your normal day to sample some amazing wines while listening to an incredibly well-informed speaker about regions and varietals you may not yet have visited or tasted.
