Faith & Finances Facilitator Certification Course

Limited to 16 Participants

Faith & Finances
training equips your church to help the materially poor in a way that leads to long-term change. By starting Faith & Finances, your church can walk alongside low-income people as they overcome financial obstacles and steward the gifts God has given them.

Created by the Chalmers Center, Faith & Finances facilitator training will equip you with the confidence and skills to:

  • Create a financial education ministry plan tailored to your community

  • Mobilize people in your church to build authentic, supportive relationships with people who are poor

  • Walk alongside low-income people as they make practical changes in their finances

  • Apply the principles of When Helping Hurts in your context

  • Through January 14th - $450

  • January 15th forward - $500

Registration fee is non-refundable and nontransferable once the online course begins on February 2, 2018.

Note: This training is for facilitators who will be leading the course themselves, not simply representatives from a particular ministry.

For certification as a Faith & Finances facilitator, you must:

  • Register and agree to the requirements in the Training Agreement

  • Complete 4-week online orientation that begins February 2 - March 5, 2018

  • Attend the live training at Wallace Presbytieran Church in College Park, MD on March 8 - 9, 2018 where you will network with other facilitators and:

    • Discuss best practices in adult education and the financial literacy climate for low-income people

The Chalmers Center

The Chalmers Center equips churches with resources and tools to walk alongside people who are poor, breaking the spiritual, social, and material bonds of poverty. As a result, churches model Jesus’ heart for the poor in practical ways, showing His care and power over every part of life.
