💃 About the Event
Join us for a Day of the Dead Ecstatic Dance Party because if the ancestors are watching, we might as well give them something worth dancing about.
We’ll kick things off with face painting and games, then gather all of our ancestors around us to open the space in ritual before we move into our dance together to celebrate the lives that came before us, the legacies we carry forward in our blood and bones.
We’ll dance our way through the veil, down into the underworld and back again, shaking loose whatever needs releasing and remembering that pleasure is also a form of prayer.
We’ll close the night with a sound healing to bring you gently back from the underworld. 🕯️✨
🎭 What to Wear
COSTUMES!!!
Come dressed in your most wild, whimsical, or soulful Day of the Dead dance outfit. Think feathers, fur, sequins, lace, flowers, or anything that brings your spirit to life. Choose something you can move and play in comfortably.
Extravagance is encouraged!
🕯️ What to Bring
ALTAR ITEMS!!!
We are creating a shared altar to honour our ancestors. Bring photos, offerings, or whatever helps bridge the worlds. The veil is thin, they’ll find their way.
