About this Event
This year, the Brunswick County Cooperative Extension and Master Gardener Volunteers will be presenting the ever-popular Day in the Yard Class via Zoom on Mondays, 2pm-4:30pm, beginning on February 22nd.
The series provides the basic unbiased, research-based information needed to maintain your lawn and garden in our Zone 8/Coastal Plain of North Carolina.
February 22: Intro/Soil Fundamentals
March 1: Turf and Fertilization
March 8: Insects/Diseases/Integrated Pest Management
March 15: Growing Vegetables
March 22: All about Woody Ornamentals
March 29: Annuals and Perennials that grow well here
April 5: Native Plants in the Landscape
Registrants must register for the entire series. The fee is $55 and will help to support the Master Gardener’s efforts in maintaining the Botanical Garden in Bolivia, as well as educational outreach activities such as Habitat for Humanity, Speakers Bureau, etc. Recordings of each session will be made available to registrants for a limited time after each class.
After registering, participants will receive an email with the Zoom link and handouts in advance of each class.
