King and the King: A Courageous Conversation About MLK, Faith, and the Future

As we approach the 50th anniversary of the death of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we pause to commemorate a life and legacy dedicated to social justice and civil liberty.

THE MISSION:
To host a multi-pronged movement of local and national dialogue centered around Dr. King's impact on our nation's past, present and future.

THE DETAILS:
Join us as we remember the sacrifices made by Dr. King during the civil rights movement with a two day event entitled “King and the King: A Courageous Conversation About MLK, Faith, and the Future.

Tuesday, April 3, 2018
6:00-7:30PM | Doors open at 5PM

This historical event will begin with a diverse panel of leaders discussing race and our current social climate in America.

Wednesday, April 4, 2018
7:00-9:00PM | Doors open at 6PM

The event will continue as we celebrate the impact of the Holy Scriptures in the general climate and the movement 50 years ago; reflect on scripture in church and civic leadership now; and allow us to critically consider opportunities for integrating the Bible into future social movements. Join us as we remember the legacy of the past and reignite movement into the future that is both socially and biblically relevant.
