Description

To support justice, healing and reconciliation for Native Americans, the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work and The Butler Institute for Families presents a free screening of Dawnland, a documentary detailing Maine’s journey to address the devastating impact child welfare practices have had on the Wabanaki Confederacy. A brief discussion with co-founders of the Maine Wabanaki-State Child Welfare Truth and Reconciliation Commission will follow the film.
