Event description

Description

A collaboration with Healing Racism Committee of Arizona, United Tribal Employee Council, SCC Indigenous Cultural Center, and MCC American Indian Institute.

Join us for the Wednesday, March 20th screening of Dawnland (2018). This documentary follows the first U.S. government endorsed truth and reconciliation commission, which investigated the forced removal of Wabanaki children by Maine’s child welfare system. This removal was part of a systematic effort to assimilate Indigenous children into the white dominant culture.

Free & open to the public | Space is limited
