David Sedaris celebrates the release of HAPPY-GO-LUCKY with a Boswell event, featuring opening reader Cindy House, author of MOTHER NOISE
About this event
Boswell presents a special in-person reading and signing with David Sedaris, celebrating the release of his latest collection of essays, Happy Go Lucky, his first new collection in four years, which Library Journal says is "Sedaris at his best, provocative and hysterical." For this event, Sedaris will be joined by opening reader Cindy House, author of Mother Noise.
Tickets are $29 each, plus sales tax and ticket fee, and include a copy of Happy-Go-Lucky. Each ticket comes with a copy of the book. You can order up to two tickets for this event - orders with duplicate emails will be cancelled. All tickets are will call - please bring ID to check in.
Tickets will come with a line letter. We recommend you purchase a ticket for the lowest line letter that is available, as we will be lining up folks in the A group, then B, and so forth. Additional copies of Happy-Go-Lucky will be available for purchase at 20% off here. In addition, you can also purchase copies of Cindy House's Mother Noise at 20% off the list price here.
After the folks who attended the reading get their books signed, we will have a free signing for anyone who would like to meet Mr. Sedaris. You can bring your books from home, and books will also be available for purchase from Boswell. For the free signing, you can register so that you can get email updates on when the free signing starts, but it's not required.
If you buy a ticket for the reading, that automatically includes you in the signing portion of the event.
Don't forget that nothing is like a David Sedaris event. Mr. Sedaris spends quality time with each person in line, and don't worry, we'll be here as long as it takes.
As always, Mr. Sedaris asks that no photos or videos are taken at this event. We ask all attendees to keep their phones in their pockets or purses during the program. Folks who break this rule will be asked to leave the bookstore.
