DAVID & NIC SHEFF: A FRANK DISCUSSION ABOUT ADDICTION

SSALA is pleased to host David Sheff and his son, Nic, as they share their personal story from addiction to recovery, discuss the impact the disease had on their family, and what they ultimately learned from this heart-breaking experience. We will have the unique opportunity to hear about their journey from both the parent and the child's perspectives. What were the early warning signs? What would they have done differently? Can you prevent this from happening to your family? How can we have greater compassion and understanding for this disease?

Since helping his son Nic find the path of long-term recovery, David has been dedicated to raising awareness and removing the stigma surrounding addiction. Without stigma, he knows from firsthand experience that prevention efforts would improve and treatment would be more accessible.
