Description

Caplet is an immersive poetry and reading discussion series that promotes dialogue between poets and audiences alike. Reading this month are:

DAVID HERD
David Herd’s collections of poetry include All Just (Carcanet 2012), Outwith (Bookthug 2012) and Through (Carcanet, 2016). His poems, essays and reviews have been widely published in magazines, journals and newspapers and his recent writings on the politics of human movement have appeared in Los Angeles Review of Books, TLS, PN Review and Almost Island. He is Professor of Modern Literature at the University of Kent and a co-organiser of the project Refugee Tales.

CLIVE GRESSWELL
Clive Gresswell's work has been published in BlazeVOX, LondonGrip, Dispatches, and ZombieLogic Review, and is due to be published in Tears in The Fence. He appeared at the recent Tears in The Fence Poetry Festival. His debut edition, 'Jargon Busters' was recently published by Knives, Forks, and Spoons press. JULIA LEWIS
Julia Rose Lewis took her MFA from Kingston University and is working on a PhD in Creative Writing at Cardiff University. She is the author of Zeroing Event (Zarf Poetry 2016) and Exhalation Halves Lambda (Finishing Line Press 2017). Her first full length collection, Phenomenology of the Feral was published by Knives Forks and Spoons Press this autumn. She won the 2017 Pitch Viper Prize, and her short book How to Hypnotize a Lobster is forthcoming with Fathom Books.
