Dave Sheinin "RG3: The Promise"
Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM (EDT)
Washington, United States
Washington Post sportswriter Dave Sheinin will discuss and sign copies of his new book "RG3: The Promise."
“RG3: The Promise” is an intimate inside look at the transformation of Robert Griffin III from college phenomenon to one of the NFL’s brightest young stars, by the sportswriter who has been with him every step of the way.
Selected by the Washington Redskins as the second overall 2012 NFL draft pick, quarterback Robert Griffin III quickly became the face of the storied franchise – and its best new hope for a championship season. “RG3: The Promise” is an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at Griffin’s first year in the NFL – from his record-breaking first game to the frightening knee injury that ended the Redskins’ playoff hopes.
Dave Sheinin has been covering baseball and writing features and enterprise stories for The Washington Post since 1999. His work has been recognized with awards six times by the Associated Press Sports Editors, and in 2010 he received a first-place National Headliner Award for sportswriting for his season-long coverage of Stephen Strasburg’s rookie year with the Washington Nationals.
