The annual Dave Rayner, fund raising dinner will be held this year on Saturday 12th November at New Dock Hall in Leeds and once again the event is shaping up to be an evening to remember. It’s an opportunity to reflect and enjoy the exceptional successes of the cycling year with some of its stars, while providing valuable support for the next generation of aspiring new talent.
The Dave Rayner Fund has raised almost £1 million over its 22 years all of which goes to and supports young talented aspiring cyclists, providing much needed financial support during those challenging young adult years. Ian Stannard, Adam Yates, David Millar, Dan McLay, Dan Martin, Nikki Harris, Danni King, Molly Weaver and many many more have all been supported by the fund. Many of these current and previously supported riders will be joining us at the dinner this year to celebrate with us.
As well as a welcome drink, three course meal and great entertainment, all tickets include a donation to the fund. We hope to raise much more on the evening through an auction and raffle in which money can’t buy experiences, signed jerseys and more will all be available to bid for or win.
We are already enjoying an exceptional year of British cycling performances and results (the TdeF!!) with the Olympics still yet to come. The evening’s entertainment will be led by the ever professional Anthony McCrossan (compere), a big supporter of the fund. The guest line up of current and past professional riders promises to be as inspiring and entertaining as ever and we are hoping to finalise attendees as soon as possble. Watch this space!
Please come and join us on what will be a stand out evening as the fund goes form strength to strength thanks to your support.
