About this event
Celebrating 50th wedding anniversaries with Families and Friends has been a tradition in our families that goes back at least four generations. The first party we know about was my great grandfather George Lambacher and his wife Barbara. George had come to the US from Germany as a 14 year old boy and served in the Ohio Volunteers during the Civil war. After the war he received a land grant and settled in Independence Ohio where their celebration was held.
Although the young deaths of both of my grandmothers prevented my grandparents from reaching 50 years, my parents Warren and Virginia Lambacher resurrected the tradition.
On Kathy’s side her grandparents Francis and Alice Johnson and her parents Robert and Frances Llewelyn Marbry both celebrated theirs. She also had her Uncle Larry and Aunt Nancy celebrate their 50th as well.
Now it’s our turn and we are really looking forward to it after waiting a year due to the pandemic.

The Details:
Saturday August 21st, 2021 starting at 3 PM dinner at 6 PM
The Venue: The party will be at the pavilion and pool of Port Clintons 1812 Food & Spirits. Bring your suits or be ready to play some outside games.
Accommodations:
This used to be Lindy’s and right next door to where the original cottage on the bay used to be for those that were there. Lots to do lots of fun but book soon because they fill up.
Fairfield Inn & Suites Port Clinton Waterfront
This is the newest hotel in the area and is right next to Jolly Roger's which has the best fried fish in Ohio!
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Port Clinton-Catawba Island
This is close to the McDonald's and Taco Bell for all you foodies out there.
This is a resort community so there are a lot of other options to choose from including a number of nice camping areas. Also Cedar Point Park the Roller Coast, Lake Erie Islands, and we picked the date to hopefully be a good time for fishing. If there is interest we could charter a fishing boat.
