Citizens of the United States began celebrating George Washington’s birthday during his lifetime, making it one of the very first truly American holidays. One year President Washington celebrated his birthday in Philadelphia by attending the circus. At the time circuses were primarily equestrian. While we aren’t sure we can bring horses to Haddonfield we certainly can celebrate circus style. The museum welcomes Dave Darwin, One Man Sideshow. Join us for a sampler performance of circus arts. Will you see juggling? Plate spinning? Or swordplay? who knows! Whatever it is, Mr. Darwin is the one man guaranteed to astound audiences of all ages! Top off this birthday circus celebration with a tasty treat! Please be sure to choose the 1:00pm or 2:30pm seating.
