100 years of Russian Posters and Poetry

In this two-part program presented by the Smart Museum of Art and the Poetry Foundation, investigate the extraordinary work of women artists and writers from the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917 to 2017.

PART I

Thursday, December 7, 6–8 pm

Part I features a tour of Soviet posters from the 1920s and 1930s on view in the exhibition Revolution Every Day as well as a hands-on poster-making workshop.

PART II

Thursday, December 14, 6–8 pm

Poetry Foundation
61 West Superior Street

For Part II, we will reconvene at the Poetry Foundation for a special Forms & Features poetry workshop and discussion dedicated to the work of Russian women poets.


FREE, but space is limited. Participants are asked to attend both sessions. Please register in advance.
