DATA-Waiver Training for Clinicians - JCC education seminar

A 4-hour in-person training of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) DATA-waiver.

Please join us for a regional Buprenorphine DATA waiver training to prescribe Buprenorphine, a medication used to treat Opioid Use Disorder/Dependence. We are offering this training to help support clinicians and clinical teams as they begin or expand their clinical practice around treating Opioid Use Disorder. Our goal to create more access for patients, community capacity and comfort for clinical teams. Please review below for further details and outreach to Paul Carson carsonp@careoregon.org with questions.

Qualified Clinicians may apply for waivers to treat opioid dependency with approved buprenorphine products in any settings in which they are qualified to practice, including an office, community hospital, health department, or correctional facility. We are encouraging all clinicians and clinical teams interested in medication assisted treatment to attend this training. If maximum participation is reached preference will be given to Clinicians who are not yet DATA waivered.

What is MAT DATA-Waiver Training?

The PCSS-MAT Half-and-Half Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) waiver training course provides an overview of the FDA-approved medications - buprenorphine, naltrexone, and methadone - prescribed for the treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD). The course provides an overview of prevention, identification, and treatment of substance use disorders, emphasizing OUD.
