Description

The NYC constituency of the Data Visualization Society invites you to their monthly meetup.

About this Event

  • Free to attend
  • Open to anyone interested in data visualization
  • We'll be serving snacks
  • Casual hanging out until 7:00PM
  • 2 quick presentations (15-20 min each) at 7PM
  • Hangout after too.
  • Most people stick around until 8:00–8:30PM

Speakers:

  • Maddie Hall: Teaching data visualization topics to highschoolers/youth. She'll talk about a class she taught at the American Museum of Natural History, and her experience with learning data journalism in college.
  • Christian Stolte: Turning DNA data into art - and sending it to the moon.
