About this event
This is a 2-hour workshop that will give you inside secrets of storytelling to use for data presentations. Storytelling is a powerful tool. Research has shown that when information is presented through stories, an audience is more likely to remember information and to be more persuaded by that information. Using stories is critical for sharing your scientific findings with granting agencies, policy makers, and the general public. Learn how to present your research findings and data through story.
By the end of the class, participants will have an understanding of how to turn their data into a story for presentations (primarily oral presentations); however, the key principles of storytelling shared during the workshop can be applied to written work as well.
The session will meet virtually on Monday December 5 @ 11AM -1:00 PM PST / 2 PM - 4:00 PM EST
