Register for the 2019 Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Frontier Science and Research Technology Foundation's Marvin Zelen Memorial Symposium. This year's topic is:

Learning from Other Disciplines

and features the following speakers:

• Jeffrey Leek, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health

There will be a poster session and reception after the talks.

Poster abstract submissions are invited from current students and postdoctoral fellows for the DFCI/FSTRF Marvin Zelen Memorial Symposium on April 5, 2019. We encourage submitting original work as well as posters that have been presented at other meetings. Awards will be given for the top 3 posters.

Deadline for Submission: March 15th, 2019 by 5:00pm

Criteria for Inclusion

  • The author must be a current student or postdoctoral fellow.

  • The topic areas must be related to data science in biomedical research.

  • Projects presented at other meetings are welcome.

Format Requirements

  • Abstracts should be at least 100 characters and include a brief description of the objective, background, methods and results.

  • References are not included in the total character count.

  • Posters presented at other conferences are welcome.

  • Poster may not exceed 36x48 inches

Notification of Acceptance: Decisions will be made by March 22, 2019.

The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Frontier Science Technology and Research Foundation Annual Lecture was renamed the Marvin Zelen Memorial Symposium in 2016, in honor of Dr. Zelen's contributions to science and cancer research. Marvin Zelen was known as a giant in the field of biostatistics, as well as a man of vision, generosity, and warmth who served as a mentor to two generations of researchers.
