About this event
Urgh GDPR, four of the most boring letters in the alphabet. But does this have to be the case? Talking about data privacy can feel overwhelming - it’s a dense and tricky subject. But as artists, we think it’s an exciting chance to examine what it means and how we can help push things in a new direction. Join us to think about how data privacy and digital rights can form part of our artistic practices.
Identity 2.0 is a creative studio operating at the intersection of digital rights, technology and identity. It is co-founded by two award-winning creatives - Arda Awais and Savena Surana. Since 2018, they have created artistic experiences which explore what it means to exist online. Their interdisciplinary work has spanned three exhibitions, printed zines, workshops and digital experiences. Previously they have worked with the likes of Feminist Internet, Goethe Institute and Soho House. They have also been named #WebChampions by Tim Berners-Lee and have been selected for the first DesignKind programme by the British Council and Pentagram.
