About this event
Professor Shilane is a faculty here in Columbia's Applied Analytics program, teaching courses in machine learning, data science, and statistical methods. He has partnered with a number of companies and start-ups to develop organizational data science initiatives and analytical infrastructures that involve devising novel applications and analytical systems in the R programming language. He is excited to convey these experiences and has conducted research in the areas of medicine, health economics, public health, machine learning methods, educational technology, and statistical software.
