Monday, November 19, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:15 PM (PST)
Irvine, United States
Organizations have increasingly adopted Data Loss Prevention and Cyber Security technologies. However, many organizations have not yet made the leap onto the endpoint client. There are many reasons for this (perceived benefit, client performance impact, and management overhead, to name a few). Derek will pull from seven years of endpoint Data Loss Prevention and Cyber Security experience and share some key lessons learned, pain points, and gotchas. This session will focus on strategies to architect, design, deploy and manage DLP and Cyber Security solutions.
This presentation pulls on the lessons learned from securing Broadcom's IP portfolio. Broadcom is an Orange County based Fortune 500 designer of ICs and software for both communications and computing. Broadcom's IP portfolio has been ranked as the number 1 IP portfolio for global fabless semiconductor companies. Securing this portfolio is an especially large challenge, as Broadcom has 75 design centers in 19 different countries.
