About the trainer and Neighborhood Nexus
Tahmida Shamsuddin, director of Neighborhood Nexus will teach the training. As director, she provides organizational and community leadership, as well as acts as the chief spokesperson for the effort. Tahmida has 10 years of experience in the Economic and Community Development field. Prior to her current position, she was vice president for economic development at Central Atlanta Progress. She has a master’s degree in business administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Suffolk University.
Neighborhood Nexus is a program of the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta and is a community information service (CIS) that generates information-based decisions to help transform lives and effectively utilize resources in the metro Atlanta region and beyond. The program's mission is to provide data, tools and expertise as a catalyst to promote healthy communities and create opportunity for all citizens of the greater Atlanta area. What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking Info: Hands On Atlanta has a gated parking lot for our guests. Please park there, walk around the gate up to the front door that is off the main street. The training room will be all the way to the right.
Public Transportation: You can take the #1 bus to the Marietta St/Boss St. stop. Our office is located right behind Marietta Street.
