Event description

Description

This workshop is open to all researchers associated to the member institutions of 4TU.Centre for Research Data (i.e. TU Delft, TU/e, University of Twente).

A Data Carpentry workshop aims to teach researchers basic concepts, skills, and tools for working with data so that they can get more done in less time, and with less pain.

This workshop teaches data management and analysis for social science research including best practices for data organization in spreadsheets, reproducible data cleaning with OpenRefine, and gives an introduction to data analysis and visualization in R.

The workshop will include short tutorials alternating with practical exercises, so please bring your laptop with a Mac, Linux, or Windows operating system (not a tablet, Chromebook, etc.).

This is an introductory course, so you don't need to have any previous knowledge of the tools that will be presented at the workshop.

Location:

Orange Room - TU Delft Library
