This meeting is the North American face-to-face meeting of the dash.js project on GitHub. dash.js is an open-source MSE/EME-based DASH player, designed to be highly performant while still providing reference playback capabilities for the DASH standard. This meeting is open to all dash.js contributors, committers and interested parties to present/discuss architectural, feature, scope and planning input for the project. The meeting is free to attend. Lunch will be provided.
This meeting is being hosted by Dolby and is co-located with the Dash Industry Forum's Face-to-Face meeting which is being held in the same facility on the two days following this dash.js meeting. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet industry experts around media and explore the industry context in which dash.js resides.

Some logistics about the meeting:
- While the address is 1275 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94103 – the best drop off/pick up area (since Market can be difficult and cars are not supposed to stop there) is 35 9th Street (on the side of the building).
- The meeting will be held in the Ray Dolby Board Room on the 16th Floor.
- For travel, they recommend using Uber/Lyft/taxi to the office from wherever you are staying. If driving, the nearest lot is the Civic Center parking garage located under the plaza in front of City Hall, entrance is on McAllister between Polk and Larkin. It is about 3 blocks to the Dolby office from there.
- For hotels, there is the very close Holiday Inn Civic Center that has been recently renovated on 8th Street, easy walking distance (nothing fancy, though). The Hotel Whitcomb is NOT recommended, even though it is very close to the building. There is a new, renovated Courtyard San Francisco Union Square (which isn’t right in Union Square, but it is a very quick cab ride to the office). For more upscale choices, we suggest the Intercontinental San Francisco on Howard (close cab ride), the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins on Nob Hill, and the Hotel Zetta, which is also close by.
We look forward to meeting and working with you in San Francisco.
