About this Event

The Sacramento Chapter of ASPA invites you to a special workshop on...

Daring Leadership: Rumbling with Vulnerability

Thursday, Dec. 12

5:30-7:30pm at the USC Price School in Sacramento

Participants will learn that daring leadership requires four sets of skills: rumbling with vulnerability, living into our values, braving trust, and learning to rise based on Brené Brown’s Dare to Lead™ courage building model. Using a tool based on the metaphors of a cave and arena, participants will discover where they want to be braver as a leader and what skills are needed to achieve this.

• Understand why vulnerability (uncertainty, risk, and emotional exposure) is the foundational skill set of courage.

• Articulate the definition of a leader and determine your call to courage as a leader.

• Learn that daring leadership requires four sets of skills that are observable, measurable, and teachable.

• Utilize the metaphor of the cave and arena to examine the challenges associated with feeling vulnerable.

• Dispel the myths surrounding the concept of vulnerability.

• Experience graphic facilitation to increase participant engagement, discover connections across discussions, and sustain the learning.

Ana Estrada Daniels, Anavo Solutions Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator and Beth Conley, CEO of To The Point Facilitation will facilitate the workshop.
