During the Fall, Winter and Spring months, Dare2tri hosts a weekly indoor gym & swim practice on Tuesday evenings. The first hour consists of a circuit training session, which incorporates cardiovascular activity, weights, strength training, and flexibility. For the second hour, athletes head to the pool, where there are opportunities for both new and experienced swimmers to get instruction on technique and be lead through a coached workout. On the first Tuesday of every month, yoga will be offered in place of gym time.
Gym, 6-7 pm: Assist and work out alongside athletes during cardio, circuits, fitness, and yoga sessions. Guides for blind athletes are needed as well as volunteers to assist and make sure athletes are using proper form, doing the exercises correctly, and setting up on machines, etc.
Swim, 7-8 pm: Assist athletes both in the water and from the deck. Assistance needed to work one-on-one with beginner swimmers and with more experienced swimmers for drills, etc. Please come prepared to get wet.
