About this event

The one thing that 150 C-Suite leaders can agree on is that we need braver leaders!

The good news is that the skills for brave leadership can be learned and honed. At the conclusion of this workshop, you will be Dare to Lead™ Trained; this distinction demonstrates that you understand vulnerability, trust, and resilience and can have difficult conversations.

Brave leaders not only model the skill sets necessary for courage but create a culture that allows for innovation, growth, and creativity while constructively addressing challenges along the way. There are four skill sets that courageous leaders share: the ability to rumble with vulnerability, an understanding of trust and its characteristics, how to rise in the face of adversity, and an understanding of their personal values. Each of these skill sets are teachable, observable, and measurable and require self-awareness. This workshop, based on 20 years of Dr. Brené Brown's research, 400,000 pieces of data, and exclusive videos, we will lead you through exercises to increase your self-awareness, build your courage skill sets, and allow you to take practical tools back to your teams.

This 24 hour workshop includes:

  • Dare to Lead™ workbook
  • The Daring Leader Assessment (enhanced since the latest release and only available through a workshop)
  • Exclusive Brené Brown Videos
  • Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator
  • Dare to Lead™ Certificate of Completion
  • Dare to Lead™ LinkedIn badge
  • One hour of free one-on-one courage coaching

Do I need to read the book? No, you don't even have to read the book before the class! Consider this class a guided tour of the book – we know just how to highlight the pertinent points straight from Brené.

Brené who? Or total Brené fan? This workshop is designed for both and everyone in between. We will introduce the material and complete exercises to apply it to your day to day work.

Who is this for? This class is for anyone wanting to bring more courage to the classroom, boardroom, or living room. It is applicable for informal and formal leaders at all levels: frontline leaders, mid-level managers, and executives. Educators, technologists, students, clergy, manufacturers, military veterans, first responders, human resource professionals, healthcare professionals, engineers, non-profit personnel, business owners, and entrepreneurs have all benefited from this course and you can too.

Join us and dare to be braver with your life!

This all sounds great, but isn't it a little soft?

Minouche Shafik, director, London School of Economics, says that "In the past, jobs were about muscles, now they are about brains, but in the future, they will be about the heart." Brawn and brains have lead us through the industrial and technical revolutions, but the next revolution will require leaders that are human-focused – leveraging diverse strengths, creating loyalty, and solving complex problems. Process optimization and technology can only take us so far – the next revolution is to begin to use our humanity to our advantage.

"Leaders must invest a reasonable amount of time attending to fears and feelings or squander an unreasonable amount of time trying to manage ineffective and unproductive behavior." - Brené Brown

Choose to invest in your time in leadership rather than squander it. Reserve your space today!
