Dare to Chair

The School of Badass Burlesque is pleased to present our newest workshop, Dare to Chair, with guest instructor Reality Rose!

If you've ever wanted to channel your inner burlesque diva or cabaret cutie, there's no better place to start than sitting in a chair. Explore how your body moves and tap into your sensual side with lots of laughs in this mixed level workshop.

Class starts with a long sensual warm-up sitting in your chair to get your heart rate up and your inhibitions down. Once we're warm and feeling sexy, we work on the fundamentals of chair balances and the building blocks of tricks. Finally we focus on sequencing and creating combos with smooth transitions.

This workshop is designed to be entirely beginner friendly with optional advancement to challenge experienced attendees.

WHAT TO WEAR:

Clothing that you can move in - bonus points if you feel sexy in them. Pants are recommended.

Heels are optional and fun to try, but please bring ones you don't wear on the street, and no stilettos.

We have chairs, but it would be helpful if some attendees could bring their own! Only this specific chair will be allowed, and only as long as it has all 4 of its rubber feet protectors:
