Event description
DAP Keeps History Alive with Complimentary Coffee Talk

About this Event

Do you ever wonder about the men and women who fought on the front lines of the LGBTQ+ rights movement before there was radio, TV, or legal protections to even mention homosexuality?

Thanks to modern broadcasting and social media, covering up LGBTQ+ people and their stories is getting harder. But for those who made their contributions without being recorded, their stories have rarely been told. Until now.

The Legacy Wall uncovers the stories of heroes from all walks of life who changed the world one sacrifice at a time, often in obscurity. This one-of-a-kind, digitally interactive traveling exhibit spans history and cultures.

Please be our guest for an exclusive viewing of this nationally acclaimed installation at TheBank on Wednesday, November 6 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

You will be offered complimentary coffee and pastries for coffee talk with two authorities on Palm Springs LGBTQ+ history:

• Donald Beck, DAP co-founder

• Denise Goolsby, Office of Neighborhoods Manager for the City of Palm Springs and The Desert Sun columnist.

We hope you will join us for this truly unique opportunity to celebrate and savor the LGBTQ+ pioneers whose shoulders we all are standing on today.

TheBank is located at 383 S Palm Canyon Dr, Palm Springs.
