CROSS-TRAINING FITNESS CLASS
EVERY WEDNESDAY FROM 6:30 - 7:30 PM IN TENT 2
Cross training class has a different routine each week. The class focuses on using full body movements to build strength, agility, balance, and coordination at a level of intensity that raises the heart rate enough to build cardiovascular and respiratory endurance. Sometimes the workout is a series of assigned movements done at each person’s own pace where they are asked to achieve as many reps or rounds of the assigned exercises as possible in a specific amount of time. Other times the instructor leads the group through a routine. The instructor scales the movements for all fitness levels. For example, if you have a knee injury and you don’t do jumping jacks then the heeltap jacks substitute will have you sweating along with the group. Just some of the exercises you will see in this class are shuttle runs, agility drills, burpees, jumping jacks, pushups, lunges, sit-ups, and squats.
Bring a yoga mat to make floor exercises more comfortable.
