Event description

Description

Join Across Our Kitchen Tables for a design principles skillshare led by Patty Delgado of Hija de Tu Madre. This hands-on workshop will cover design tips that help share your message effectively (like, why does it matter what fonts or colors you choose for your posts and flyers?). She'll also cover some social media tips and apps that help in creating beautiful content to showcase your work and schedule posts.

Come prepared to share and discuss your logo or designs you've made for your business or project, and make up a quick design on the fly. As always, we aim to foster a supportive learning community and safe space. Delicious pastries will be catered by Los Angeles Veganita.

About Our Presenter:

Patty Delgado is the founder and designer of Hija de tu Madre, a Latina inspired fashion and accessories brand. Delgado founded Hija de tu Madre in 2016 with just $500 and a mission to make fashion more inclusive of the modern Latinx experience. Featured in Teen Vogue, Refinery 29, and Buzzeed, Hija de tu Madre is known for celebrating Latina identity across a variety of products like outerwear, jewelry, and desk tools.

Hija de tu Madre strives to uplift their Latina community via their inspirational products and #MAKEJEFAMOVES movement. Delgado is committed to spreading the gospel of WOC entrepreneurship, while bringing her community along with her.

About Our Caterer:

L.A. Veganita is a self taught baker from L.A who makes treats straight out of her own kitchen! Everything is homemade and guilt-free for everyone to enjoy.

Who should attend: Though we make room for women-identified allies, our skillshares prioritize, center, and cater to self-identified women/femme/transwomen and gender-non-conforming POC who are doing food-centered work or food-based businesses and seeking practical skills that might otherwise be difficult to access. We limit the participation of male-identified folk to our annual community symposium. Thank you for respecting our autonomous space.
