Dancing Hands Frolicking Voices - 2017 Intensive Retreat
Tue, Jul 18, 2017, 8:00 AM – Fri, Jul 21, 2017, 4:00 PM MDT
As our society becomes increasingly hostile to the incarnational needs of the children, our presence and offerings for the children become even more crucial in their development. This intensive is designed for early childhood educators seeking to deepen their understanding and practice of developmental movement, speech and singing in the mood of the fifth to support the young child.
Wilma Ellersiek created a body of work as an antidote to the ills of modern life. We will immerse ourselves in the essence of this work – the rhythms, rhymes, singing in the mood of the fifth, gestures, breath, moving games, and loving touch, designed specifically to meet the needs of the young child. Practice through to embodiment of the work is our goal.
Keynote lectures and Spacial Dynamics will deepen our understanding and experience of this delightful and essential work.
