Description

Dancing Grounds presents....the FIRST EVER DANCING GROUNDS SHOWDOWN with celebrity judges Big Freedia and Michelle Gibson, and hosts, Sheba Turk and "Hollywood"! Come watch the best of New Orleans dancers compete for cash prizes while supporting Dancing Grounds' transformative youth programs.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

6-7:30pm VIP Pre-Party & Fundraiser ($75-150 tickets)

A private celebration with FOOD, OPEN BAR, and EXCLUSIVE PERFORMANCES by Dancing Grounds' students. VIP ticket holders will have access to reserved seating and a speciality cocktail all night long.

7:30pm Doors Open

8-10pm Showdown Competition ($10-40 tickets)

9 finalists compete in four categories: youth solo, adult solo, youth group, adult group. Watch as the dancers show off their skills, judges provide feedback, and the winners are awarded 1st and 2nd place prizes. Plus: the audience (YOU) will vote on the winner of a special $1,000 FAN FAVORITE prize! We'll also have a special opportunity for audience members to win a cash raffle.

ABOUT DANCING GROUNDS

Dancing Grounds is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that brings high-quality, inclusive, and accessible dance education programs to New Orleans residents of all ages and backgrounds. We use dance as a vehicle for developing young leaders, inspiring health and wellness, and promoting social justice. Since 2012, Dancing Grounds has reached over 10,000 youth and adult students with Saturday, summer, and in-school dance programs for children and 20+ classes per week for adults.
