Event description

Description

Join us for the Dance Theatre of Harlem's Interactive School Time Performances where students will get a behind-the-scenes look at the training of a classical ballet dancer and will learn about how basic steps create choreography. Students also get a chance to show off their moves on stage and learn simultaneously about the similarities of popular dance and ballet. This year’s School Time Performances will include reflections on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the impact of Dr. King’s dream on Dance Theatre of Harlem. Presented by the Dance Theatre of Harlem Upper School Students.

Please note: This free event is targeted towards youth grades K - 12. Priority seating for this event will go to youth/school groups.

If you would like to register as a school group, please email Kadiatou Tubman at kadiatoutubman@nypl.org.

FIRST COME, FIRST SEATED
