Dance Party & Fundraiser with Homebrew (featuring The Terrapin Horns)
Ring in the holiday season in style with HomeBrew and their lively blend of classic R&B, blues, and dance music, while supporting a local non-profit dedicated to the education and empowerment of women over fifty.
Celebrating its third Holiday Stockinghop, HomeBrew is generously dedicating their yearly event to raise money for local non-profit Women of a Certain Age (otherwise known as WOACA), whose vision is to create a community in which all older women have the knowledge, skill, and self-confidence to develop and sustain healthy relationships.
WOACA has been nationally awarded by organizations such as Kaiser Permanente, Bank of America, Multnomah County Public Health Hero Award and is a 501c3 under the fiscal sponsorship of the YWCA of Greater Portland. Learn more at WOACA's site, www.healthywomenover50.org.
Enjoy an evening of music and dance, as well as a $20/ticket raffle (including a one week stay at a private condominium in Las Vegas) and a silent auction (cash and credit card accepted, but cash is preferred for the raffle). Appetizers as well as a no host, cash bar will be available.
Tickets are partially tax-deductible and advance purchase is strongly encouraged due to a 150 person capacity.
The event will be held at the Curious Comedy Theater at 5225 NE Martin Luther King Blvd. on Wednesday, December 7th from 7pm - 10:30pm. Curious Comedy Theater is a non-profit venue dedicated to improving the lives of kids, adults, and seniors through the art of comedy. Visit their site to learn more about their wonderful programs.
